While pregnant women rejoice on the fact that they are nurturing a new life inside their amazing bodies, these mommas dread the accompanying reality of pregnancy- morning sickness. From multiple barfs to severe headaches, you can try these effective remedies to make you feel better and less grumpy:
Don’t get hungry
Never starve yourself even if you don’t like the food prepared on your table. Eating fruits or crackers paired with milk or a freshly squeezed orange juice will keep you going throughout the day. Just make sure that you eat healthy snacks every 2 hours even in small portions.
The power of ginger
To pacify the vomits, it is encouraged to take anything ginger- ginger candies or ginger tea will do the trick. If you’re not a fan of ginger, it’s time to start loving its strange smell and taste.
The sour stuff
On a personal note, whenever I feel the urge to barf, I turn into sour stuff. Green mangoes and a pop of fresh lemons in water are classic favorites. Trust me, they’re instant relievers of morning sickness plus they’re healthy to the body.
Cider vinegar and honey combo
Pregnant women are encouraged to drink a glass of cold water with a mixture of apple cider vinegar and tablespoon honey ( 1 tablespoon each) to reduce morning sickness.
Increase your iron-rich foods’ intake
Pregnancy suggests a healthy diet among future mommas to ensure their health and their baby’s. As such adding a large amount of iron in their meals will prevent them from getting dizzy. So mommies, increasing your intake of iron-rich foods like eggs, beef and green vegetables is a must.
