When I became a mom, I was a tad prepared of the big changes that my exciting role has. I knew my world now is entirely different from what I’ve used to- regular gym workouts, spa dates with girlfriends and romantic dinners with my ex-boyfriend (now husband).
I admit I almost forgot taking care of myself as I was too consumed on taking care of my kids. When my mom friends encouraged me to pursue self-care activities, I was amazed of the results. I didn’t know I can squeeze some quality time for myself and be sane at the same time.

1. Take a long shower
(Please) allot 30 minutes to an hour of a relaxing and refreshing bath. Solitude will cast away your mental and physical stress.
2. Shop for yourself
Treat yourself with some of your favorites- a gorgeous red dress and that famous tube of lipstick that you’ve been wanting to wear.
3. Get a massage
Every busy mom’s must-do. A rejuvenating massage is a great stress reliever, right?
4. Unplug from social media
Take a few days off from Facebook, Instagram, and other social media accounts. How about finishing the book that has been waiting for you for months?
5. Have coffee with a good friend
I’m sure you miss your best friend so much that you want to say yes to her multiple coffee invites. Go ahead and have a happy date with your bestie.
6. Watch the sunrise
Start your day with a boost of positivity and energy and surrender yourself in the golden beauty of the sunrise.
7. Practice gratitude
Always be grateful for the things and people that you have and don’t forget to smile and laugh.
